Name: Ramya                                                                                                        

Ramya hails from Kollegal taluk, Mysore. Her mother got married at a young age. Ramya's parent's lives become a tragedy as they got 2 children who were deaf and dumb and Ramya was their third child. She is the only child who can listen and talk. By experiencing this miserable situation, Ramya's father deserted his wife and innocent children. Fortunately Ramya's mother came to know about Kaliyuva Mane through one of her relatives. Now Ramya is studying happily in Kaliyuva Mane. At Kaliyuva Mane she has not only found parent's love, care, empathy but also brothers and sisters! She is the most enterprising kid of Kaliyuva mane.

Name: Pavana and  Pradeep

Pavana and Pradeep are siblings. Their father was working as a construction worker suffered serious head injury during his course of work. He cannot do any other job as he is uneducated. Pavana and Pradeep's life was in darkness. Divyadeepa has lightened new hopes and dreams in those budding flowers. They are enthusiastic to achieve plethora of things in future.

 

Name:Ravi

Ravi's Father deserted his wife and has remarried. Mother is a flower seller. It was difficult for her to take care of her two sons. Mother wanted to put both her children into Kaliyuva Mane. But due to our limitations we have taken only Ravi. He is from a village on the outskirts of Mysore city. He is slightly violent, but is being moulded because of the nvironment prevailing at Kaliyuva Mane. He is 9 years old and wants to become a soldier.

Name: Bindu

Bindu's father deserted his wife and remarried when Bindu was just two years old. Recently her mother committed suicide. Her grandfather brought her to Kaliyuva Mane. hen she came to Kaliyuva Mane she was so dull, there was no life in her. Now she has tarted dreaming. She has started liking Kaliyuva Mane. But her educational level is much elow average. As she becomes emotionally happy we are confident she starts showing nterest in studies.

Name: Manjula

Manjula's mother had come to Divyadeepa for washing vessels and clothes. There were 4 children surrounding the mother. None of them were going to school. Some were playing. Some were helping their mother. One 10 years old girl just expressed her desire to stay in Kaliyuva Mane. Since 6 months she is staying and learning happily. She dances well.

Name Bharthi

Bharati lost her mother when she was two years old. Her father remarried. Her aunt brought her up. Her aunt works as a housemaid. So Bharati also started assisting her aunt in her profession. Divya Deepa's well wisher brought her and left her in Kaliyuva Mane. 11 years old Bharati is happy and wants to become a pilot. But her aunt often comes and takes her for few days to do household works. 

Name: Narayana

Narayana was studying in a village school. Both the parents are illiterates. His father is a coolie in RMC market. Mother is a housewife. Narayana was not interested in studies. Hence he used to attend school once in a blue moon. Narayana's brother brought him to Kaliyuva Mane. Initially he was never comfortable at Kaliyuva Mane. Now well settled. Shows interest in studies. He is 13 years old. Narayan plays chess well. Loves to play
cricket.

Name: Sachin

Sachin was studying in a village school. Both the parents are uneducated. His father is a  mason. Mother is a housewife. Sachin was not interested in the studies. Because he was very weak in Kannada. Along with Narayana, Sachin also joined Kaliyuva Mane. Now a days he is showing lot of interest in studies. He is 13 years old. He wants to become a doctor. He acts very well. 

Name: Puttaswamy

Puttaswamy (originally from Kollegala ) could not complete his B.Sc. degree for some reasons. He was working in a factory. Factory closed down. Puttaswamy was almost on the street. Somebody introduced him to Divyadeepa. He is working in Divyadeepa. He is taking cre of dairy and farm. Whole family is staying in a make shift hut in Kenchalagudu village. His son is Dhanush who is studying in Kaliyuva Mane. He is 11 years old. Very nice boy. He wants to learn everything. Can sing Bhagavadgeetha shlokas very well. Wants to become a progressive farmer.

Name: Rahhul  

Rahul is a boy of 9 years old. His father is a drunkard. He has stopped coming home.Mother has to take care of two sons including Rahul. She works as a domestic help and earns Rs.800/- per month. So she left two children at her brother-in-law's houses. But her brotherin-law could not take care of Rahul as he was very naughty, violent and mischievous. At present he is staying in Kaliyuva Mane. He is good at studies. But does not like others. Too selfish. Beats others. But slowly getting transformed.

Name: Vishnu

Vishnu's parents belong to middle class educated family. Till the age of 5 years, child was very bright at studies. He was very gentle and soft by nature. Parents were not happy with the present education system and wanted alternative education for their son. But there were no such schools functioning on "School for children" principle. As a temporary resort he was admitted to a normal school. There he underwent some traumatic experiences. Even when he joined Kaliyuva Mane he had forgotten whatever he had learnt during childhood and

was emotionally disturbed. Now he has started learning and is almost normal. 

 Name: Prasad 

Prasad is now 15 years old. He has a sister. His father deserted his mother and children and has remarried. Prasad's mother started working as a domestic help in some one's house. But they refused to keep her children. 12 years old Prasad was sent to someone else's house at Ooty as domestic servant to earn his living. Very recently he was brought to Kaliyuva Mane. He is happy and showing interest in studies.

 Name: Santosh

Santosh's parents belong to socially and economically backward section of society. He was going to a village school. He was not interested in studies. He was naughty also. Teacher always used to scold him. Several times he was beaten by the teacher. Once Santosh took a stone and threw at his teacher. That was his last day in school. Due to fear of getting punished by his teacher he stopped going to school. Then he started grazing sheeps. Two years back, parents put him in Kaliyuva Mane. During first year he was irregular, very quarrelsome and violent. One year back he came and expressed his desire to pass S.S.L.C. Now he is staying as an inmate. Unbelievable improvement in his temperament. He is showing lot of interest in studies. Now he is 15 years old.

Name: Manu and Nanjundaswamy 

Manu and Nanjunda Swamy belong to socially and economical backward section of society. Long back they had stopped going to school. When Divyadeepa conducted literacy classes at Mellahalli, they got inspiration. Both of them are studying in Kaliyuva Mane as inmates. Manu is 13 years old. Nanjunda Swamy is 16 years old.
